Melanie Passons is the Program Coordinator of the Rumsfeld Foundation. In this role she assists in coordinating public service related programs, to include the Foundation’s work with military charities and its Graduate Fellowship Program. Before joining the Foundation in September 2015, Ms. Passons served as a Research Assistant in the Office of former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Previously, she held internship positions with the U.S. Department of State in Belfast, Northern Ireland, The Heritage Foundation, and the Office of Congressman Marsha Blackburn. Additionally, she has completed study abroad programs in Paris, France and Swansea, Wales. Ms. Passons holds a M.A. in International Affairs from the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tennessee.
