SEP 09, 2019

Today the 2019 CAMCA (Central Asia-Mongolia-Caucasus-Afghanistan) Regional Forum report was released recapping the events held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from June 13th-14th, 2019. Organized by the Rumsfeld Foundation, the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute and the CAMCA Network, the 2019 CAMCA Regional Forum convened more than 300 representatives from 20 countries to discuss important issues and developments surrounding the Forum theme: “CAMCA: Shared Interests, Shared Aspirations.”

Attendees traveled to Uzbekistan’s capital city to participate in the Forum from all 9 of the other CAMCA countries as well as from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Israel, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, Sweden and the United States.

Forum attendees included over 100 alumni of the Foundation’s Central Asia-Caucasus Fellowship program, with 18 alumni formally contributing to the Forum conversations as speakers and panelists.

Developed as a platform for regional dialogue by the alumni of the Fellowship Program, the CAMCA Regional Forum has evolved into a premier annual convening that brings together international leaders and professionals from across the CAMCA region and beyond.
