Giving Back to our Military and Veteran Community this Giving Tuesday
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, D.C. — This Giving Tuesday the Foundation is pleased to announce $343,000 in 2018 grants from the Rumsfeld Foundation and Rumsfeld Family Fund to military charities assisting active duty troops, veterans, the wounded, their families and the families of the fallen. This year’s grant recipients work across five key areas to include support for employment and civilian transition, outdoor rehabilitative activities, military spouses and children, wounded veterans and the Special Operations Community.
“On this 'global day of giving' the Foundation extends our deep gratitude to the organizations and their staffs and volunteers that work year-round to make a difference in the lives of our nation’s veterans and the broader military community. The terrific organizations that we are fortunate to partner with provide unique, impactful and essential services to this important community of Americans who contribute so significantly and selflessly to our country,” said Sarah Tonucci, Executive Director of the Foundation.
